This is the balance beam of logs in the garden. It is 2,400 mm long and has a tread height of approximately 420 mm. It is low enough for infants to ride along, and both ends are supported by log receivers. The log is 190 mm in diameter. The upper surface is cut flat, and one ridge line passes between the cut surface and the roundness. The receiver is a combination of a grounding rung and a short standing tree. The wooden mouth is chamfered and rolled, and the wooden side where the growth rings can be seen is inserted with a different material. The cut edge does not look like a cut circle. I also put the head and anchor of the mounting bolts. The origin is the center of the contact patch, and the log extends in the X direction. Four angles are registered: front, back, right, and left. 園庭の丸太の平均台です。長さ2,400mm、踏面の高さはおよそ420mm。幼児がまたいで乗れる低さで、両端を丸太の受けで支えた構成です。丸太は直径190mm。上面は平らに削ってあり、削り面と丸みの境に稜線が1本通ります。受けは接地する横木と短い立ち木の組み合わせ。木口は面取りして丸めたうえで、年輪の見える木口面を別マテリアルで入れてあります。切り口が切りっぱなしの円に見えません。取り付けボルトの頭とアンカーも入れました。原点は接地面の中心、丸太はX方向に伸びます。正面・背面・右・左の4アングルを登録してあります。
About this material
This is a log balance beam with a length of 2,400 mm and a tread height of 420 mm.
Making logs
- Treads — φ190 logs are cut flat on top. Since one ridge line runs along the border between the cut surface and the roundness, the top surface and side are separated when the line drawing is made.
- Wood mouth — chamfered, rolled up, and filled with a different material on the wooden face with visible growth rings. The cut edge does not become a flat circle.
- Receiving — A combination of a grounding rung and a short standing tree. The bolt head enters the joint between the log and the receiver, and the anchor is on the ground side.
