Burayot is a typical Garut cake, named after the Sundanese word "burayot," which describes its drooping, drooping shape, like a heavy bunch of fruit. Made from a mixture of rice flour and brown sugar, it is fried in hot oil, resulting in a distinctive, folded oval shape with a shiny, reddish-brown surface, resembling caramelized skin.
