A lightly textured marker set with realistic blending properties.
Hello! Here with another GloomSugar brush, this time, a set! Ohhhhh!
I love alcohol markers such as Copic and Ohuhu, I even started when I was a teen with PrismaColor! There are a few problems, however. They are expensive. At least where I am. They are stinky, like SUPER stinky, and they are not DIGITAL!
So I strove to make a good brush that mimicked the feel and response of authentic alcohol markers. So, there are a few things worth noting about this set:
- There are three tips, chisel, brush, and bullet. Only the most authentic.
- There is a soft noise texture and slight edge pooling that mimics the effect of paper.
- Its lightly blendable. It does have its limitations, you may have to swap colors or values to get a perfectly smooth blend.
- And while you can blend, it is like real media, and you cannot just paint light colors over dark. Inversely, you can paint lighter colors over darker, and they will blend.
- This set tends to work best on a single layer, but its not necessary. It is for the reason above, normally light does not cover dark.
I hope this set feels natural to you marker artists, and I am more than open to any suggestions!
