This pose for each character is set to the Default Vers-2 3D model body-shape. If you wish to use different body shapes, you may have to adjust the pose for the characters. Use the thumbnails as a guide for posing them on the canvas and ensure both models are touching the ground.
With all that said, you don't have to be absolutely precise with posing them since they are really only meant to be a guide. Just get them relatively close and look decently correct.
