……そんな安易な気持ちで調べ始めたら、そこは映画界が生き残りをかけスクリーン規格を変え続けた混沌の戦場だった。

これが「サウンドトラック」だと理解したとき、またその横の穴の列にあるノイズがデジタル音声データだと知ったとき、人は感心し、絶望する。

とりあえず画面を撫で付けてください。

テレビの登場により打撃を受けた映画界は、差別化をはかるために大画面化を推し進めました。テレビ普及以前のフィルムを描きたい場合はこの比率です。音声トラックもデジタル式の部分は削ってあります。
◆シネスコ（2.35:1）
シネマスコープの略。迫力を追求した映画がたどり着いたド迫力の横長画面です。しかしフィルム自体は横長ではありません（例外もあります）。専用レンズで撮影して、横幅を圧縮。フィルムのフレームにフィットさせます。このフレームに絵を書き込む場合は「2.35:1」の画像を用意して、横方向に縮小して貼り付けることになります。
