An oil-feel (or maybe acrylic) brush set with a woven canvas texture for blending
I have been making a lot of quasi-oil brushes, so I thought I would share them with you. Because making the sets and previews takes a while, I'm going to do them in little mini-sets. I made all of the textures and tips from scratch, and I do actually use most of them when I paint.
All "woven canvas" brushes share a texture. Ones with the same next words share a tip. Then the final word indicates the mixing feel of the brush. So this is the tip "STYLENN" with blend, blur, and smear styles.
Please note they lag badly above about size 150 because of the tip complexity.
These may eventually go to being paid, but for now they're free.
Important note about the "smear" brushes: they will bring the opacity up to 100%, and if used on a perfectly transparent area—like a new layer—they will paint in the selected color. If there's any color at all, they will pick it up and amplify it. For that reason, I rarely use that brush, but there are times it's the right brush for the job.
