Thung (ธุง,ทุง,ตุง meaning 'flag'), a kind of decoration of people in Thailand and Laos, especially in the region of Isaan (where people believe it originated here), Northern Thailand, and Northern Laos.

This type of Thung is called the 'Spider-web Thung' (ธุงใยแมงมุม)
Thung is used in any holy or religious festival or just amulets. People believe it can expel evil things.
Spider-web Thung is made from threads and bamboo sticks.
