Stained glass textures from real stained glass.
I've always wanted to make a set like this, and I finally go around to it. Stained glass textures from some stained glass I'm fond of. All of the textures are used in the tulip image below:
To make the lines, I used a pencil brush (for a rougher line look) & added an outline effect to the pencil lineart, giving a solid yet slightly rough line. The coloring is flat, & the textures are all overlayed. All textures should repeat - if I update this I'll likely add a few non-repeating textures.
They come in solid & transparet, so you can decide how you want to apply and work with them. :)
I also tried out some of the "digital textures" I made (content ID:1890440 ), and those can give some glass-like textures too. I recommend dappled light, malted paper, digital paint splotches, weird frosting, digital something, & strange marbling.
If you're going for complete accuracy, I'd look up videos on how stained glass is made. There's a variety of looks from Medieval to Modern, & everything in between, and different ways of paint applied to the glass. Some glass panes are left with no texture, some with brushstrokes or marbling.
Thanks for having a look, hope you have a nice day :D
