Just have to paste from the top of your favorite illustration, it contains three images that can be represented in the rain easily.
Lighter (close to white) because of the rain, if you just put the dark background may be easier to understand.
If you feel that you do not adapt with your own illustrations, you may want to change the layer mode from "normal" to "overlay" or "multiplication", or you can duplicate the same material and try overlapping it.
