Needed to make sketching a new character easier on myself and lo, new brushes. Draw the main veins first then use these for branches off of them.
UPDATE: removing the scar tag because after diving into what causes this patterning I've found these aren't scars at all. Rather, these are superficial burns along the uppermost surface of the skin that fade after a few hours.
