This is the newest addition to my
Hatching Texture Brushes
(Content ID:2075389)
Vertical Hatch contains:
- 5 texture based brushes
- and a tip about hatching with fill tools
I decided to release this separately as well, since the Hatching Texture Brushes package is getting kinda huge ^^
(The brushes are in there too though, so if you download it, you will get the Vertical Hatch content as well.)

- You can change the size and angle / rotation of the hatching texture in the tool property panel.
- Anti overflow is turned on, you can turn it off if it’s messing with what you want to do.
- Some of the brushes have slightly transparent parts, if you don’t like this, set the layer to monochrome.
- Just drag the texture onto the canvas and scale it so it fits the art (you find the name of the texture in the advanced brushsettings under Texture…)
- The texture should tile. If it doesn’t, select the object tool and check „Tiling“ in the tool property panel.
- Add a blacked out mask to the texture layer, so the texture disappears.
- Now you can use the fill tools by drawing on the mask!
- The best thing about this method is, that you can adjust the hatching size and angle later!
