It can be used for anything, but for this example I'll show a possible book cover (and include the textures too!)
1. Normal, no mode applied.
2. Overlay Textured [Layer PROPERTY, where the layer color/grayscale/monochrome is]
3. Overlay [Layer MODE, regular layer switching]
4. Add Glow
Whether you use it like a book cover or for accents, or as a background/texture, hope you enjoy it and find a good use for it. :)
