3d2d Portrait Wall Frames

This material can be used in Studio Mode. (What is Studio Mode?)

3d that has a 2d feel to it.

It is a 3d prop that has a 2d feel to it. It is meant to be used "as is" for backgrounds decor, but you can add colour and use it for coloured illustrations as well.

There are eleven main shapes to pick from. The material is mono so it looks like a drawing.

The prop can be mix and match with each other if they fit. I have already saved some presets that looked best in the layout option. You can experiment and move them around and mix up your own shapes for a unique design, like a 8 shape with two circular shapes.

The outline was made as a material outside of CSP. You do not need to add the outline to it, unless you want a more bold look. Thanks to the imprinted outline the prop looks to have the lineart effect on the inner walls which the normal outline only affects the outside of it. I wanted to achieve the effect where the edges from all angles are highlighted.

No need to use the LT convert tool for this prop. The 3d mimics to look as 2d as possible and already has a crisp clean lineart feel. You can just flatten the 3d layer and add more personality to the frame; cracks, dust, art, etc. This basic shape gets you halfway there to decorating your walls.

Sometimes LT on the best settings look bad when you just want to pop a prop into your bg  with no extra steps. Maybe you don't have the LT Convert Tool, then this will work for you.

However, there are many perks to the LT tool such as changing the brush shape with a rasterized layer. But thanks to the prop being black and white you can convert the flatten 3d layer to raster and it will only extract the lines. You can also use the artistic function to extract the line from the fill.

Just test which function you like best; I have tested them and can get good results with each.

Use in your manga scenes, as a backgroud decoration prop on the wall, or add color and more details for a illustration. The prop above was made from the 3d object in this pack to be used as a picture frame. (seen above) It was not flattened as a 3d object but used the LT Convert Tool; so you can get nice effects on the prop by using it as is or with the LT Convert IF you have it.

Get Creative! It can be used as a; picture frame, mirror, painting, portait, etc. You can finds ways to use it that I'm not even thinking of.

For those not getting a good LT effect or needing something that already looks hand-drawn for their background with no extra steps then to just; place and decorate, this prop should do you well.

Thank you for using it!
