Here's a simple pattern for quick watermarking needs.
How to use:
Step 1: Apply pattern.
Step 2: Resize as necessary.
Step 3: Rasterise watermark layer.
Optional steps:
Step 4: Lock transparency and change to desired colour.
Step 5: Adjust opacity and/or layer mode as desired.
Disclaimer: There's currently no fool-proof way of preventing artwork theft but I'd like to offer some extra protection with this watermark pattern. I hope it helps!
