Update July 26 2021: added a few more textures made digitally plus a few photographed ones.
This is an update to the original Monochrome texture pack. Its a bunch of textures I made or photographed that you can use freely for your art. :D
For those making Clip Studio Brushes: I've seen a lot of material get deleted lately. Clip Studio does NOT let you use other user's material (like mine) or default Clip textures for brushes you upload to the asset store. I don't mind if you use my textures for brushes you uploaded elsewhere but you unfortunately can't use them for brushes you upload here on the asset store. I'm letting you guys know now because I want to see people's brushes & other assets stay up on the store. Sorry! ;w;
A few tips to those new to textures:
If you want to change the color of the texture, [rasterize] the layerthe texture is on (right click on the layer), then lock the transparency of the layer & recolor it whatever you like. This is the lock transparency button:
A lot of these textures repeat. To turn repeat off, go to the [Object] tool & click on [Tiling].
Lastly, I like to change the layer mode to Overlay if I'm applying a texture to a larger area. Feel free to experiment with it!
Some of the new textures:
Previous Description:
These are various materials I made to use for my art & my own brushes. Feel free to use them for whatever you want. Some were scanned in from paper I own, some photographed from clothes, and some drawn digitally.
Some Examples:
Cardboard:
Knit:
Cold 3 (cold pressed watercolor paper):
Cloth:
Stenograph paper + inkdots:
(New) Bumpy Paper:
I tend to set the layer mode to multiply or overlay when I use them & change the color to something more appropriate for the picture. Brushes are adjusted to whatever feels nice :p
A few of these are already used on my released brushes:
Left to right: Cloudy B, Spotty, Static but Saturn, Cheese Cloth.
(Updated)
Left to right: Scribbles 2, Grainy, Crunchy Board, & Stenograph Paper.
Some of these have weird names, so feel free to change them. Hope you enjoy :)
