General bleed guide

Content ID:1792142

Template with color layers to understand bleed limits and a line guide to make very simple frames in a B4 page. (300, 350, 600dpi)

*Example made with 350dpi*

Hello! This is a template for beginners :)

(1) Open a new page with the same values. You only going to change <Resolution> value to: 350 or 600. "Width" and "height" values comes from japanese standar manga drawing paper according to Silent Manga Contest page.

If you want work in 300 dpi follow (1) and next go to
<Menu>, <Edit>, <Change Image Resolution>, select <300>.
Resize to 300 dpi is going to deleted default bleed, but its ok because we have our template bleed.

When work with 300 dpi?

300 dpi is the minimum quality for imprinted. Is good you always work with this objective! Also is the best option if your PC does not have many graphic power (A POTATO!). If this is your case, I recomend you optimize win10 like turn off transparency, turn off animations, turn on virtual ram, etc.

(2) Drag template who match with your dpi.

This is how looks!

You going to see a folder called <GENERAL guide>. Inside are six differents layers that are named by their meaning. I think I do not need to explain it all, are very clear!
<focus area>: is very important than you focus your draws and dialogues. Avoid placing the main dialogues outside of <focus area>.

Now to make a simple frame, you have to active "Guide" layer.

Choose "Ractangle frame" tool. For 350 dpi use 16.0 value. For 300 dpi use 14.0. For 600 dpi use 27.0.

Don't forget snap to rulers!

TA-DA!

This is how looks without the guide.

That is all! :D
