Functions and Significance of material/tools
  • Eraser: It is designed to mimic traditional charcoal erasers rather than a standard digital eraser. When used in horizontal strokes, it gradually lifts charcoal/paint instead of removing it completely.
  •  The same eraser can also function as a firmer lifting tool. When used in narrower or vertical strokers will remove charcoal more efficiently, similar to a harder eraser used in traditional drawing.
  • Blending tools: These are experimental. While they worked well for my workflow, they may not suit everyone's preferences or drawing style. Feel free to adjust the settings or use your preferred blending tools alongside the brushes.
  • Colour set: The colour set plays a significant role in achieving the intended look. I highly recommend trying the brushes with the provided colours rather than using pure black and white.
  • Traditional charcoal is not limited to black and white alone. The colour set includes additional tones to help create richer, more natural-looking artwork.

Below are two example sketches:

(Ignore the feet, I am not good at it)

♡Note from the Creator♡

The textures included in this set were created using my own charcoal sketches, traditional charcoal materials, and paper textures. My goal was to make these tools feel as close to real charcoal as Clip Studio Paint allows.
Digital tools will always have their limitations, but I encourage you to experiment with the settings and adjust them to suit your workflow and drawing style.
As a traditional artist, charcoal was my first love and remains one of the mediums I return to most often. While there are many wonderful charcoal sets available, I could never quite find the range of tools and textures I was looking for. So I decided to create my own and share it with others who enjoy working with charcoal as much as I do.
Creating and experimenting with this set has been a genuinely enjoyable process and I hope it brings the same enjoyment to your creative work.

P.S. Happy Creating  (^-^)♡♡♡
