Colors used in Ancient Egypt!

This is a weirdly specific set to do historical Ancient Egyptian art.

Before you start coloring, check out some guides on how color worked back then.  For example, artists at the time didn't mix colors thanks to the different chemical reactions in the pigment (if you mixed lead white & yellow orpiment you get... black!).  Colors also carried symbolism with them.  Black is associated with the fertile soil of the Nile River, a positive color.  It's a fascinating system built up over thousands of years, it's super cool!

I included the main paint colors + their names, as well as 4 sets of Gold & Silver to accent your work.  The goddess above is Ma'at, the goddess of order, balance, harmony, & justice.

Hi, I'm Saturn and I enjoy Pixel Art & making CSP assets too much. Most of my stuff is free, but I also have some fancy brushes you can buy in my links. Feel free to check it out, but no worries if you only use free stuff. It's meant to be used anyway! :D
