This is a Cluny lace. This type of lace is used as a border - household linens, collars, hems, you name it.
This brush makes a lovely Cluny lace. I've used it for character clothing, generally as a border to a collar or cuffs or along a hem. I've also used it as a border for household linens like tea towels, placemats, doilies made with a solid center, handkerchiefs, edges of drapes, and more.
