Yet another stockings pen.
This is a brush set to make oil gloss nylons!
(other words for nylons in general are pantyhose, stockings, hosiery, tights…)
Here’s an example of use:
(psst! The heart lace on the tops of these nylons is another brush I have!)
I don’t know, I think they’re really sexy, so I tried to make a brush to draw them easily. I’m not very good at making brushes, so making it into a single brush wasn’t as good looking of an effect as adding the shiny effect with a separate brush. It allows you to follow the contours of the body better, plus it allows you to use glow dodge or add glow layer effect to it for extra shiny! (But, glow dodge and add glow don’t seem to be working the way they used to, or is that just me? I feel like those layer effects used to look different)
I HIGHLY encourage playing with the settings of these brushes! If you’re worried about ruining the original settings, just make a copy first.
Settings that I especially recommend playing with are visible by default, but don’t let that stop you. Playing with existing brushes is the best way to learn about what all the settings do!
The most interesting setting to change is the gap distance. The distance is set to 3 by default, but setting it to 2 gives you a thicker, more dense texture, while setting the gap distance to 4 gives you a looser, more see through texture.

Did you know? The measurement of opacity and thickness of nylons in real life is called “denier” or “den.” It’s a French word, not the English word for ‘a person who denies something’ haha! A lower denier number means that the nylons are more sheer and thinner than a higher denier number.
