This brush is based on a concentric hexagon. It's easy to customize.
This simple brush can take multiple shapes by very easily fixing a few settings.
Open the settings palette with Window/Tool property hexa.
Here's the default parameters, which'll give you a line of two-colors hexagons:

You may turn Ribbon to OFF:. Gap is active for you to chose a value.

Keeping Ribbon on OFF and turning Spraying effect to ON:

Whatever the shape settings, you can choose a value for Hue in Change brush tip color: Here are some examples (Hue at 0 is equal to unchecking Change brush...)

NB: Sub property only shows basic settings. But you can play with various parameters!
For example, with Spraying OFF and Ribbon OFF, you may use a special value for Gap: open Sub tool detail by clicking on the wrench at bottom right; then select Stroke. Selecting Fixed will allow you to choose a value from 0 (full concentration) to 2000 (the hexagons are extra-spaced, you can use one as a stamp for example).
You can always come back to default settings by clicking on the round icon near the wrench.
