Add just a little extra camera-based realism to your artwork with a carefully constructed lens flare. Made using line ruler, modified "Soft circles" effect brush, and airbrush tool.

1. Begin with an image you would like to embellish with a lens flare.
2. Access the image materials and drag "Lens Flare optical effect" onto the canvas. It should be the top layer in your project except for speech balloons or other elements specific to comics. Rotate and scale to the best position for your project.
3. The image material will look opaque and distinctly yellow. Its blending mode should be changed to "Add (Glow). This can be changed at the top of the Layers sidebar widget with the "Lens Flare optical effect" image material selected beneath.
4. Adjust the layer's opacity tweak the intensity of the lens flare to your satisfaction.
