A 360-Hue color set that I've been using for better-looking colors! It was mainly created for an easier cel/toon shading process, but you can use it however you want. Explanation below! Enjoy!

Picking colors digitally has always been frustrating for me. Small palettes always seemed too limited, and full color-pickers too complex. I felt i needed a way of "framing" my color choices to make things easier, that's how this palette came to be!

"What Does This Palette Include?"

This palette contains the full 360-hue spectrum of color swatch-ified, with brightness and saturation both at 50%. it looks a little muddy by itself. But, as we'll see, it's actually wildly versatile

"So, How Do I Use it?"

In order to use this palette properly, we'll need another tool. Don't worry! This tool is built in to both PRO and EX by default. I'm talking of course about the Approximate Color Palette!

Linked below is a brief explanation from the CSP Instruction Manual on how to set up and use the Approximate Color Palette
https://www.clip-studio.com/site/gd_en/csp/userguide/csp_userguide/540_color_plt/540_color_category_plt_kinjishoku.htm

Once you have the ACP where you want it, we can set it up for use with our 50% hues!

  • Set one reference element to Saturation (S) and the other to Luminosity (V)
  • Crank both element intensity sliders to 100%
  • (OPTIONAL) Change the number of tiles to suit your needs
Your Approximate Color Palette should look something like this:

"Can I Start Coloring Yet Or What?"

With the hardest part of our journey over, we can start actually using the palette! This is the creative part, so have fun with it:

  • First, select an ideal hue from the 50% HUES Palette (the ACP should change appearance to match the color you picked)
  • Then, adjust the saturation and brightness by picking swatches in the ACP
And that's it!

There are many more aspects to color theory that I encourage you to research in order to improve your work, but I'd like to consider this palette a decent setup for users who are daunted by the default color picking options like I was.

Anyways, if you chose to download my palette, Thank You!
