Adjust as needed per your canvas size and comfort. Experimenting with Texture Density should be enough outside of adjusting your pen pressure.
For reference, I draw with light pressure, with additional light pressure via wacom pen settings, and on large canvases (10 inches minimum), so I often test my brushes under those parameters.
