This material can be used in Studio Mode. (What is Studio Mode?)

Traditional wooden garden swing found around Finnish house yards. Five layout presets for quick swinging angles and movable parts for full swing angle customization.

A fully modeled on-scale garden swing for four people. All the individual nuts and bolts are in place, so you'll get a fully realistic reference as the centerpiece for your characters' chill summer day!

Five layouts

The model comes with five ready-made layouts, that get you swinging quickly:

Default (no swinging)
LEFT – Big swing
LEFT – Medium swing
RIGHT – Medium swing
RIGHT – Big swing

Full movability options

I also made the swinging parts fully movable, in case you need more freedom for the swinging angle. 0 = furthest possible swing to the left; 50 = no swing, 100 = furthest possible swing to the right. Just put all the values at the exact same number and the parts won't get separated. (Or don't, to make it look broken!)

Based on blueprints from the 1920s

This model is based on old blueprints found on page 45 of the April 1929 issue of Kotiliesi, a Finnish home & living magazine that's running still today. The blueprints are wonderfully accurate and include all the measurements, so modeling it was very pleasant! I changed the arm rests to look more modern.

The Kotiliesi magazine is freely available at the digital archive of National Library of Finland (digi.kansalliskirjasto.fi), so anyone can take a swing at modeling one for themselves!
