A repeating motif based on a Zhou Dynasty bronze ding vessel (东周青銅鼎), most likely from the Warring States period. Comes in tiling image material and ribbon brush.
This material is based on a repeating motif on the body of a bronze tripod vessel (青銅鼎) from the Eastern Zhou Dynasty in the collection of the Met Museum, accession number 49.135.1a, b. It's listed in the catalogue as being from the 5th–4th centuries BC, so I believe that would make it the Warring States era.

I took a few liberties when converting the bronze engraving to a painted motif, so it's not exactly like the original, but it's pretty close. I think it would look nice as a decorative band, but also as an all-over pattern for something. I have included both a regular repeating image material, and one that's been put in a double row so that the rows are offset from each other.
This only has one color, black. That means that the brush picks up your main color. The image material's color can be changed using the layer colors drop down menu.

As usual for my brushes, the tilt is set to change the width.

Here are some examples for how you might use it.
