Ground beetles are usually found under stones and debris on the ground and run when disturbed. They feed on other insect’s Larvae and adults and are primarily predators of other arthropods usually hunting at night. These are considered a beneficial insect. Beetles can be children’s playthings or heroes against the villains such as the red harvester ants that have a painful sting that can cause severe allergic reactions.
