airbrush with cut edge
I always struggle with airbrushing shadows, because I don't like the lasso tool! So I made this one-sided airbrush.
It follows the pen direction and has a noise texture which you can disable. You can use color with it.
It looks like this on a finished thing (I use gradient maps for shadow coloring).
