I noticed when I was using my pencil brush that it doesn't stay like a pencil at larger sizes.
So I made some adjustments and I ended up with a pastel-like brush. Comparison of my Gentle Pencil with the pastel:
It can be used for painting large areas as well as for smaller details. It looks a bit thicker than the pencil brush.
The transparency and blending settings make it easy to create a soft, hazy effect. You can layer it without the blending mode or mix it. I like using it for clouds.
I drew these clouds with only 2 colours: White and the background sky blue. It is easy to achieve different colours simply through pen pressure.
