Color zones to add interest to faces
A quick hack to add color variation to faces. Works better in fully painted works just as a little flourish. Not a substitution for learning how to color faces.
Start with your painting (in this case I'm using a quick sketch, since I didn't have a fully painted example handy)
Import the material. Use transform tools and liquify to put the color zones in the right areas
Play with layer modes and opacity. In this dcase, it's a hue layer at 15%
Use this as a jumping point to finish your painting. Blend with your preferred brushes
