It's a simple sport where you just poke the ball and drop it into the hole, that's billiards.
Rules? I'm not sure. It's about hitting a ball and rolling something. For the time being, it tends to be used for a scene in manga and illustrations just because it is "something cool".

「いや、そこまで公式に寄せなくても誰も気づかないよ」という周囲の冷ややかな声を完全無視してミリ単位で作り込みました。
穴のサイズ、玉の大きさ。スティックの長さ。全て規定通り。
完全にやりすぎ。
つまり、ガチのビリヤード作品を描いてる人用なのか。そうじゃないのか
