This brush was designed for blending colors and rendering; it’s best to use it in combination with other brushes. If you’re working on the same layer, it’s better to use a different brush that doesn’t blend as much, for adding details or applying a base color from which to start blending and creating gradients. Or, preferably, work on separate layers.
I don’t recommend it for creating more realistic-looking hair.
