A simple color set I use for cell shading

1. On a new layer choose one of the light colors and put on multiply. Then draw out your shadow and adjust opacity for your liking.
[It looks best if you use the Opposite tone, so say you have a cool blue color you would use the light hot pink. Same goes for a warm tone]

2. Once that is done make a new multiply layer above the one you made and choose the opposite dark tone and color in the darker parts of where the shadow would be.
[Ex: Say you used a light purple for your first color, you would then use the dark pink for the darker shadows.]

3.This is optional, but you can then go for a last new layer with the darkest color in the set and draw out the contact shadows with a light pink border. It would be set up like the rest of the shading layers.
