A simple illustration workspace I made for small screens, specifically for an iPad with a 10.2” screen. I also use it with my laptop and a medium sized pen display.
Most shortcuts match default, while on iPad the edge keyboard T-keys are set to things such as: temporary eraser, switch main and sub colors, swap present and prev tool, pop-up tools (color wheel, sub view, color mix), and 3D model manipulation.
On iPad this workspace works best if you have set “change brush size” to CMD + drag.
This is what it looks like with the palettes hidden to maximize screen space:

On iPad I often hide the right side with the 2 arrows, and use the pop-up navigator via one of the T-keys while drawing. I also like to minimize the left side sometimes with the single arrow, and generally keep the brush size tool hidden as I prefer using CMD + drag to change brush size. However I find this workspace comfortable while drawing even with all the menus visible at once.
