Basically, I made this to fill the gap for dynamic 3D references, and I hope it’s super useful for the comic art community.
I realized I needed better visual references to improve how I draw heads from multiple angles. This is crucial for webtoon and comic creators who want to make their scenes faster. However, I was having a hard time finding good 3D model references that actually fit my workflow.
So, I decided to create and share my own idea. I put together a folder with a ton of 3D head references from CSP in a wide variety of poses. It covers everything from a full front view to the back of the neck, giving you a huge range of perspectives.
Important heads-up about the file: This reference folder is pretty heavy data-wise. If your computer isn't very robust (if it lacks a strong processor or good RAM), the program might lag or crash when loading or handling the models.
How to use it:
Simple Mirroring: If you need the head looking the opposite way, the fix is easy, just flip the image horizontally.
Base Model: The 3D head I used here is the same of Oficial CSP Assets.
Advanced Customization: You aren't limited to the head I provided. You have total freedom to use the 3D features in Clip Studio Paint to swap this model out for any other head on CSP Assets. This gives you massive flexibility to adapt the references to your specific character style.
