It is a thin chain brush with a main line.
By using border effect, you can adjust the main line width according to the pattern.
It contains two types: the angular azuki chain, which is common in illustrations, and the kihei chain, which is troublesome to draw.

I think it would be nice to just put a metal gradient on it with a multiply layer.
