This is my updated workspace I use for creating comics on iPad air.
There is little space on the iPad screen, so I have to maximize the efficiency, by using pop up windows and taking advantage of touch features.
I use in portrait mode.
If you have your own shortcut keys, make sure to uncheck this box when applying the workspace:

If you use keyboard shortcuts, I suggest adding a shortcut for brush size and color wheel so you can use them as popup window with a key but have more screen space when don’t need them!
