to change the opacity and wetness of the brush, simply change the color blending as seen below.
1. blend
2. running color
3. smear
i typically use 17px for detail work and lineart as it's crisper, and 50px for mapping and shading because it's blurrier all on a 2000x2000 canvas. running color (2) is my favorite mode.
