マンガでは、近景・遠景よりも中景くらいで使うのがおすすめです。
（絵柄にもよりますが、遠景の場合はもっと簡略化されたものか、文字部分を省略したほうが、人物など本来見せたいものへの視線の誘導を妨げなくてよいと思います。また、近景では部分的に読めてしまうので…）

印刷用はブラシサイズ1.5以下が読みにくくてオススメです。
Web用はもう少し大きくても読みにくいと思います。
色を変えたい場合は、描画後に塗りつぶしなどで適宜変更してください。
