This way, you can get an idea about how much light or dark to apply to the hair. I encourage experimentation though, like below:
The first two on the left are using the palette in a basic manner, one as cel shading and one as painted. The third removes several of the colors to simplify it further.
The bottom left example changes the proportion of light to dark, changing the hair color to a lighter shade. The bottom right switches the highlights & shades with 2 different palettes. Try experimenting & modifying the palettes to your liking. :D

Mix & match, use it as a springboard for hair colors, use it however you like. However you use it, I hope you enjoy it. :D
