How to use the Fill folder mask
After filling in the ENTIRE lineart of your subject on the Flat Color layer, select from layer > create selection
Click on the Fill folder mask (black rectangle). This will enable the mask, causing your color to disappear temporarily.
Use the fill tool 'refer only to editing layer', select the color WHITE, and fill the selection. If you do this correctly, your coloring will reappear and the silhouette of your subject will show in white on the mask thumbnail.
You did it! Now you can use the Highlight, Cel Shading, and Soft Shading layers and they wont show outside the lineart :)
