A hair to replicate my favorite hair brush in Paint Tool SAI. Can be used to blend out the shadows and then blend them out. Best used on multiply layers.
Steps for usage:
1. Lay down your flat base color.
2. Create a second layer and fill it with white, then select "Clip to Layer Below." Change layer blending mode to "Multiply."
3. Take a shade color, and color in where you want to shade. Optional; set the blending mode of the pen to "Multiply" as well for added depth, or just leave it as "Normal."
4. You can tinker with the blend settings as you wish, and just blend as you normally do. The settings on the brush are just my own preferred settings to try and emulate how I would shade in Paint Tool SAI, but you know how it is, the world is your oyster, so play with the pen as you see fit!
5. Repeat steps 2-4 as many times as you see fit.
Optional Things;
-You can use the same brush for highlights, I just recommend blending with transparency so it doesn't get overly bright and tinker as you go.
-When blending things out, I recommend switching from the shade color to white (or whatever the lighter color is next to is) so you don't muddy up your colors.
-Don't be afraid to play with different hues, too!
-Don't be afraid to play around with different sizes and textures on the brush itself.
-You can probably use it to shade stuff other than hair if you leave the blending mode of the pen as "Normal."Or don't.
