白波の部分のみですので、

時間や天候をイメージさせるシーンを簡単に作ることができます。
水面にうすいトーンを貼ると曇り空など、
ぼんやりしたイメージ。
濃い色のトーンやグラデーショントーンを使えば、
真夏の昼間の海や日の出や日没。
ベタやカケアミで、キラキラした夜のイメージも。
オーシャンビューの背景や
ロマンチックな波打ち際のロマンスシーンにもおすすめです。
遠景向きではありますが、
水の深さを表現したいときも便利です。
上のカットは、イメージに合う部分を拡大して、
下を濃く、上を明るくグラデーショントーンを貼りました。
トーンのフチを軽く削り、
ホワイトで1本線を描いて、水際を表現しました。
川底が見えるなど、透明感と動きがある水の表現にも使えます。
